Christophe Lemaitre is a French sprinter who specialises in the 100 m and 200 m races. He became the first French athlete to break the 10-second barrier in an officially timed 100 m event.

At the age of 20, Lemaitre won the 100 m, 200 m and the 4×100 m relay titles at the European Championships, the first European sprinter ever to achieve that triple!

Personal bests include:  

  • 100 m outdoor: 9.92 s 
  • 200 m outdoor: 19.80 s 
  • Bronze medal in the 200 m champion du monde 2011 Daegu (Corée) 
  • Bronze medal in the 4 × 100 m relay at the 2012 London Olympic Games 
  • Bronze medal in th 200 metres at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics 
  • 8 European medals (4 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze)
