Much more than a football player.
Andrés began his Spanish professional football career in Fuentealbilla, a small village from Albacete. He has spent most of his career at Barcelona FC, where he stayed for 16 consecutive seasons, reaching 4 Championships and 9 Spanish Leagues. He helped Spain win the UEFA Euro 2008 and was also a key member of the winning Spanish team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Scoring the winning goal against the Netherlands in the final match. He also won the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament.
From early days, Andrés captured the attention of his fans in his smart and elegant style of football. Since joining th club in October 2002, he has since become a legend at Barça. Now, after nearly 20 years, he is still showing his amazing dribbles in action! Since 2018, Andrés has been playing for Japan’s, Vissel Kobe. Since joining the club he helped conquered the Emperor Cup and Japan Supercup.
Off the pitch, Andrés has opened also several football academies (Iniesta Methodology) in several cities across Japan. Hoping to leave his legacy to future generation of football players.
